Life is a Risk – Do Something About It

Life is a Risk

Risk is part of life. In fact, life itself is a risk. And though you might like to imagine the contrary, it’s not really possible to live a full life without taking any risks.

Risk can only result in two things: success or failure. But you can’t succeed if you don’t put yourself in the risk of failing.

Here are some risks that are truly worth taking:

  • Caring for another person – You know too well how heartbreaking it is to care for another person and not receive the same level of affection. When you care for another person, you give that person the power to hurt you but this shouldn’t stop you from falling in love. As the cliche goes, it’s better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all.
  • Following your dream – The fear of failure, the fear of discovering you’re not good enough, the fear of the unknown–all these fears would stop you from pursuing your passion and dreams. But you need to conquer these fears and not let them pull you back.
  • Going outside your comfort zone – If you’ve lived a life of convenience, it won’t be a surprise if you’re not a risk-taker. Why put yourself out there when you’re inside your comfort zone? The problem is, you won’t experience anything new if you don’t step outside your box.
  • Learning and trying new things – Don’t be afraid to explore and experiment. Don’t hesitate to educate yourself. A full life requires learning new things and embarking on new endeavors once in a while.
  • Expressing your opinions – Are you just going to sit in one corner and keep quiet for the rest of your life? Or are you going to step out and let yourself be heard? It may be difficult for some people to take the risk of expressing themselves in fear that they won’t be accepted. But you need to let people what you want, what you feel, and what you need to say. You owe it to yourself.

It’s true what they say, live your life or don’t live at all.
